About Chris 

Chris Wagner is the CEO of Country Partners Cooperative, an agricultural cooperative serving farmers across Central Nebraska, and currently serves on the Land O’Lakes Board of Directors representing Region 2.

Chris grew up in Southwest Kansas and has spent his entire career in the cooperative system. He began his career working directly in cooperative operations and has held roles in grain, logistics, location management, and executive leadership. Prior to joining Country Partners Cooperative, Chris served as CEO of American Plains Cooperative in Great Bend, Kansas, and held several leadership positions at Garden City Co-op, including Vice President of the Grain Division.

That career has shaped a strong belief in the cooperative model and the responsibility cooperatives have to the farmers, employees, and communities they serve.

Chris believes local cooperatives are the foundation of the system. They are where relationships are built, service is delivered, and trust is earned with farmers every day. He also believes regional cooperatives such as Land O’Lakes play an important role by bringing local cooperatives together to create scale, strengthen purchasing and market opportunities, invest in capabilities and innovation, and provide a stronger collective voice for agriculture.

In addition to serving on the Land O’Lakes Board of Directors, Chris serves on the Board of Directors for ProValue Cooperative in Hutchinson, Kansas, and has participated in other board and committee roles supporting agriculture, rural communities, and the cooperative system.

Chris and his wife, Shanda, are raising their son, Easton. Family, agriculture, rural communities, and the cooperative system are important parts of their lives.

Chris holds a Master of Agribusiness degree from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chadron State College.
